  1. Playing By My Rules

I was seven according to the American formula,
I was eight by the Chinese calendar
I discovered that for the whole game
    One must gather invisible strength.

    I read the rules,
I looked up all the big words in a dictionary
A light wind began blowing past my ears
It whispered secrets only I could hear.

Going to school, then directly home,
    Learning new chess secrets
    Clearly concealed advantages
    More capable routes.

I was gathered up by the wind
I closed my eyes and pondered my next move.

  2. Bite your tongue back,
I wish her not to against the wind.

    San Francisco’s Chinatown is,
    Her bowl was always full,
With three-five course meals every day.
    The best playground for Chinese.

    Is Chinese torture?
    Shook her head.
We do business, do medicine, do painting,
    Not lazy as American.

  3. The truths could make me rise above our circumstances,
secrets my Mother began to keep--less to lose.
I remember when I was playing, and I won.
It was my Mothers win, I didn't say more, in my Mothers tight grasp.

I ran, until I realized I had no where to go.
    It's not shame, I'm angry.
I fled, away from my Mother, to the dark.

But at the end I was a small playground.
People played with me, my borders.
But i knew that the biggest weren't always the nicest.
I begged, unable to let go of the outcome.

My invisible strengths for advantages, to become strong.
    My next move... a surprise.

Champion your gift to become better
Go against the wind for advantages change for you
I bounced from East to West trying to get through

Plucked from the East bordered by squares
Wedged between the tourists and Tradesmen
Roaming the streets and trying my best
    Falling down one by one
Planning my next move blowing past until I won

  6. Invisible Recipe to Knock Down Adversaries

Felt the wind rushing as I raced down the street.
    Bite back your tongue,
    Show and never tell.
    Patience.

Elaborate secrets waiting to be untangled.
    Have foresight,
Mathematical understanding of all possible moves.
See the endgame before the game begins.
    Patience.

    Game of secrets.
    A Double Killing Without Blood.
Double Attack from the East and West Shores.
    Sharp silence,
    Concealed advantages,
    More escape routes.
    Bite back your tongue.

    Angry black slits.
    Two tiger’s eyes.
    Alleys, no escape routes.
    A triumphant smile.
    Pieces screamed,

for a little knowledge is a great advantage

    show and never tell
    never announce "check" with vanity.
The one who plays better has the clearest plans.

    I felt myself growing light.
    Strongest wind cannot be seen.

    Forbidden daily mysteries,
Invisible roasted duck with its head dangling/
    Knowing how wicked I was being;
    winning with a tight, proud
    Smile.
But she explained the invisible rules:
    Forward one step
    then they can move two.
I learned why the sky is blue,
Knowing all the art emerged from this door.
